This prestigious race is contested by solo sailors who spend approximately 90 days alone at sea, navigating a non-stop and unassisted route around the world.<\/p>\r\n<p>In 2028, Scott Shawyer will proudly represent Canada in this demanding event. It will mark only the third time a Canadian sailor has attempted to complete the Vend\u00e9e Globe, as no Canadian has yet reached the finish line.
